Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School
Celebrates Catholic Schools Week in Style

Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School in
Farmington, Michigan, is putting their faith in action during Catholic Schools Week, January 27th through February 1st.  Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School is one of
the largest and most respected schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit.  Over 740 children in grades preschool through
eighth grade will participate in a week of activities designed to demonstrate how Catholic schools raise the standards in education!  The celebration will kick off with an Open House on Sunday, January 27th from 1 - 4 PM and all alumni, current and prospective families are welcome to attend.    Activities at the Open House include
presentations from the school band, the OLS Youth Group puppet ministry, science experiments in our state of the art science labs, individual classroom activities, school tours, refreshments and giveaways.   Other activities that week include a V.I.P. Day, Family Movie Night at the Civic Theater in downtown Farmington, and a "Partners in Service" Breakfast & Blessing honoring our parent volunteers that support our school with their gifts of time and talent.  The week will culminate with close to 600 students creating a Balloon Rosary that will be lifted up in the chilly Michigan skies to pray for the intention of human life from the womb to the tomb.
