Broadway Sparkles at First Presbyterian!

(For immediate release)  Just in time to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras, the Performing Arts Series at First Presbyterian Church Farmington presents Steinway Artist and Theater Organist extraordinaire Pierre Fracalanza in a gala performance of popular favorites on Friday February 15 at 7:00 PM.

“It’s no understatement to describe Pierre as a triple threat of musical artistry,” says music director Gerald Custer. “He’s a phenomenal pianist with a repertoire of literally thousands of songs, and equally gifted at the organ console. He’s completely at home in both sacred music and popular standards—and he’s a talented vocalist as well. One thing’s for certain: if there’s an open keyboard and Pierre Fracalanza is sitting in front of it, you’re going to be entertained in unforgettable style! We’ve been trying to get him to appear on our series for a number of years now, and we’re absolutely delighted to finally have him perform at First Pres Farmington.”

Music Director and Organist at St. James Church in Novi since 1995, Fracalanza began playing piano and organ at age three, and became music director at St. Stephen’s Church in Port Huron at age sixteen. Formally educated at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, he has opened for Carol Channing, performed at Theater Organ Pipes and Pizza in Auburn Hills, and played both organ and piano for the televised services of the Church of Today in Warren.

No tickets are required for this outstanding event, which is open to the public. A donation of $10 per person or $25 per family is suggested. First Presbyterian Church is located at 26165 Farmington Road in Farmington Hills, just east of the intersection of Eleven Mile and Farmington Roads. Ample free parking is available on site, and the entire facility is barrier free and handicap accessible.
