Farmington Hills City Council Members to Address Farmington Area Junior Chamber Members

Farmington Hills City Council Member
to speak to Farmington Area Junior Chamber members about the impact young
adults can make on the community.



FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. –  Farmington Area Junior
Chamber (FAJC) members as well as the public are invited to attend the FAJC
general membership meeting featuring guest speaker, Farmington Hills City
Council Member Michael Bridges at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11.



Bridges – a
member of the Michigan Municipal
League and the National League of Cities Policy Advocacy Committee – will speak
with members about opportunities for young adults in the Farmington area to
make an impact in the community. He will touch on the key priorities of the
Farmington Hills City Council and the opportunities individuals can take
advantage of to help meet the goals of the city.

Bridges is also a board member
for the Farmington YMCA and Transit Riders United, a mass transit advocacy
group. He is the city's alternate delegate to the Southeast Michigan Council of
Governments and a member of its legislative policy group. In addition, he serves
as the Council liaison to the Commission on Children, Youth and Families.



Also at this meeting, the FAJC
general membership will approve its 2014 chapter plan, making this an ideal
opportunity for those interested in potentially joining the chapter to learn
about the goals and priorities of the organization.

7 – 8 p.m. at the Farmington Hills Fire Station, 31455 W 11 Mile Rd.
