Well folks the internet scammers have done it again. They have figured out yet another way to prey on people. The sad part is that they are doing it when you are most vulnerable. Yes the latest funeral internet scam preys on people who may think somebody has died.
After all of us have somebody that may be sick in their circle of friends. So it may be natural to open this email up. The subject line is "passing of a friend". So naturally you probably would open it up. It talks about a dear friend and even give condolences to you. Then it offers and prompts you to open a link up. DO NOT DO IT.
Sure the email will look legitimate. It will have a nice letter head and say all the right things. BUT DO NOT OPEN THE LINK. It is a virus that steals all your personal information off your computer and takes over your computer. So if you want computer problems, your credit card and bank information stolen open the link up. If you want to protect your private information delete the email immediately.

One of the funeral home's names I have seen is Eubanks funeral home. I was alerted to this fact by one of the other real estate agents in Keller Williams Commerce office. So I thought I would share it with you. After all that is my job when we have clients to protect them from making a bad Farmington Home deal. So let's protect your computer today too.
I hate scams like this. Some seniors may be tricked into opening this. So if you have an elderly parent share this with them. If they do not know who sent the email to them, instruct them never to open the link. A funeral home will not have your email address. A friend may send you an email like that, but pick up the phone and call them to get the information. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK.
