Junior Girl Scouts from Farmington Make the World a Better Place with Computer Recycling Drive

Girl Scout Troop 42386 is collecting used computers and electronics today. The computers will be recycled by Electro Cycle, a Livonia small business that separates and recycles the electronics. The Girl Scouts partnered with Electro Cycle because of the company’s “no landfill” policy.

These Junior Girl Scouts from troop 42386 have earned the “It’s your Planet Love It” badges and wanted to do a service project that would benefit the environment for the long term. The girls who are coordinating the drive are: Lily Cromwell, Ellie Gagner, Alyssa Kabrick, Riane Molloy, Kacey Noseworthy and Erin Moylan. They will earn the Girl Scout Bronze Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting for Junior Girl Scouts.

Items for Recycling:
1. Laptops, Desktop Computers, Monitors, Keyboards, Mice
2. Flat Panel TVs, Projection TVs
3. Printers, Fax Machines, Scanners, Copiers, Multi-Function Devices
4. Cell Phones, Smart Phones, PDAs, Pagers
