Elise Newcomer, Miss Farmington 2011, hosts a bowling event today at Drakeshire Lanes in Farmington Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to raise funds for Joy Southfield Development Corp., a community development effort in a northwest Detroit neighborhood. Even if you don't bowl, you can browse through a silent auction and holiday craft show, enter a raffle or 50/50 drawing. Cost for two games of bowling is $20 per person which include shoes, pizza and pop.
