This fundraiser benefits Zach Szilagyi, 5, who is currently battling countless complications following a Bone Marrow Transplant for Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis or HLH. The only cure for HLH is a bone marrow transplant, but Zach has a second rare disorder, a mitochondrial disease, which has complicated his recovery.
Zach, his mom, dad, older sister live in Florida but his parents are originally from the Farmington area. The cost of a transplant is astronomical, even with insurance coverage, and the family has additional non-medical expenses related to Zach's treatment.
Be sure to mention Zach's name at the event and receive 3 paddles for $8, so all proceeds go to the Children's Organ Transplant Association to benefit Zach. There will also be a bake sale and raffle.
