Welcome to the American Legion Groves-Walker Post 346

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A POST TO JOIN THAT IS BURSTING WITH PATRIOTISM AND ACTIVITY. LOOK NO FURTHER!

Groves-Walker American Legion Post 346 was chartered in 1922, by the Veterans of World War I, in the Village of Farmington, Michigan. By the end of their first year, they had become a viable, focal point of the community. Today, the Post is still strong and very active in both the City of Farmington and the City of Farmington Hills. The Post not only sponsors, but Puts On the FARMINGTON / FARMINGTON HILLS, MEMORIAL DAY PARADE each year. Which is among the largest Parades in south-east Michigan.

On 9/11 of each year, since the attack, the Post puts on a large Ceremony, Remembering those Lost, and saluting the Police and Fire Departments of Farmington / Farmington Hills. We also Salute our Armed Forces, and remember all the Michigan Fallen Veterans since 9/11. This again, is one of the largest Ceremonies in South-East Michigan, and has never missed a year!

The Post sends more Boys to BOYS STATE each year, then any other Post in Michigan. We have held this distinction for the last 5 years. Our Auxiliary has GIRLS STATE.

The Post TABS-FOR-TOTS program is the largest in the District. With over 1,000 pounds collected this year alone.

The Post is involved in LEGION BASEBALL, and sponsors a team. We have a GOLF TEAM that plays on Mondays. We put on DINNERS almost monthly. We have a weekly BINGO ON FRIDAY NIGHTS. We sponsor a SCOUT TROOP. We also have a very active SR. SONS OF THE LEGION (SAL) program. And last but not least, we have a great CLUBROOM.
