Wednesday Benefit Aids Suicide Prevention Efforts

Have a spaghetti dinner at Grand Tavern tonight to support the Graham E. Smith Memorial Fund's suicide prevention efforts in Farmington and Farmington Hills.

An organization working to bring more awareness to suicide prevention in Farmington and Farmington Hills hosts a fundraising spaghetti dinner Wednesday at Grand Tavern on Drake Road north of Grand River.

The event benefits the Graham E. Smith Memorial Fund, which supports the work of the Farmington Area Suicide Prevention Task Force. The group has organized community conversations on suicide prevention and its connection to other issues like domestic violence and substance abuse.

The Fund, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, was founded by Katherine and Ken Massey, in memory of their son Graham E. Smith, who took his own life in 2011.

Tickets for the dinner, held from 5 p.m.-9 p.m., are $13.99 and available at the door. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Learn more on the Task Force Facebook page
