Last Minute Locavore: Businesses at The Village Mall

Christmas is just days away, but there's still plenty of time for you to shop local in Farmington and Farmington Hills. 

This week, we're sharing some of the unique items available at local stores. Today, we're taking a look at what's inside in the Village Mall, a collection of shops located at Grand River and Farmington Road in downtown Farmington. 

A couple of new shops, combined with some long-standing businesses, make the Village Mall an interesting place to visit:

The Scented Bean
Soy-based candles and melts, along with a Michigan Marketplace with products from vendors all around the state. Gift items include everything from hand-crafted jewelry and knitted outerwear to polished Petoskey stones, lotions, baby items and more. 

Artisan Knitworks 
New to the mall, carries gifts for knitters and gifts made by knitters. In addition to skeins of colorful yarn, you'll find sweaters, scarves and other hand-knitted items. 

The Sacred Sage
Browse their collection of new age and spiritual gift items that includes crystals, pendants, singing bowls and Buddha statues. 

PLUS Skateboarding
Find everything a skateboarder could want in this shop, from boards and shoes to t-shirts and other accessories. Located in the mall's lower level.
