Meet WOMC's Shehzeen Ahmed on Salvation Army Celebrity Bell Ringer Day

The Farmington Hills resident will be at Kroger on 12 Mile in Farmington Hills Dec. 7.

Farmington Hills resident Shehzeen Ahmed, who works for WOMC 104.3 FM, will be among media personalities and community leaders across southeastern Michigan participating in the first Salvation Army Celebrity Bell Ringer Day.

On Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon, she will be ringing a bell at Kroger, 37550 W. 12 Mile in Farmington Hills, to help raise awareness for the 2013 Red Kettle Campaign, The Salvation Army’s largest fundraiser of the year.

“We’re thrilled with the tremendous support of so many influential members of our community to simultaneously man our kettles for our first Celebrity Bell Ringer Day,” said Colonel Dennis Strissel, commander of The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division. “They’re helping to bring great awareness to this vital annual campaign. The funds raised during this inaugural event will go directly to helping our neighbors in need this holiday season. We are grateful to everyone for volunteering their precious time.”
