Attorney Aaron Boria Brings Fun Insight Into the Law

When he's not in a courtroom or his law office, 29-year-old Aaron Boria might be found in front of his computer or in the kitchen preparing an Italian-themed meal.

The Plymouth attorney has been practicing on his own since 2010. As the owner of Aaron J. Boria, PLLC, he enjoys helping his clients wade through their legal issues, but also takes time to explain the law, in a fun way, to those simply with an interest in it. He uses his blog to talk about everything from medical marijuana to drinking and driving to exercising.

Patch recently spent a few minutes chatting with Boria about his blog and why people should check it out.

Tell us about your blog and what it's all about. The blog is centered around my law firm, Aaron J. Boria, PLLC. We focus on criminal defense and other issues that stem from criminal offenses, personal constitutional rights, and other legal issues. Lately we have begun to spotlight other local businesses to help support our community.

What's the story behind how it came to be? As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a lawyer. Helping people is what I love to do. Having the blog allows me to reach a large audience where I can let everyone know what I do, give them free legal tips, and share some war stories.

What's been your favorite blog post? I would have to say my favorite blog post is probably my most recent war story of wining an assault and battery jury trial at the 35th District Court.

Why should people read your blog? My blog is informative. I try to pick hot legal issues, some funny crime stories, and tips with how to handle difficult legal situations.

As an icebreaker, whenever someone is hired at Patch, they have to reveal their first concert and their most embarrassing song on their iPod. So, what's yours? My first concert was probably Lenny Kravitz and the most embarrassing song on my iPod is Informer by Snow, the Canadian reggae musician.

What are your hobbies? If I were asked about any hobbies I would say that I have a passion for cooking and a love for movies. I cook anything and everything. Usually Italian inspired but I love to grill. Hard to name a favorite dish, I absolutely love a perfectly grilled ribeye, but can't resist traditional bolognese. My favorite movie is probably Goodfellas or The Departed. I like all genres except depressing films.
