Random Acts of Kindness are a quick way to get my attention. Include my children and you really have me hooked! That’s how I developed an even greater love for Farmington Central High School, where my son is a student.
The principal Mrs. Karas has began a program where the school acknowledges the students when they display a random act of kindness. I love it! It is a great reinforcement for community involvement and social awareness.
I’m reminded of the documentary Freakonomics, where they mentioned rewarding the students for good grades to have them excel in their classes. I love the efforts of Farmington Central because it not only encourages good academic efforts but promotes character development.

I enjoy finding out about things like this in my community. It let’s me know that our young people are on the road to great things and that there is still good in the world.
