A One of a Kind Year

When I speak and write as I do, I am often challenged as being an intolerant, arrogant bigot, which is in and of itself a similarly bigoted statement.

This could be the best year of our lives, and...the most challenging. I think we will experience both. We have some pretty overwhelming issues facing our nation. Domestically and internationally we will either get back on the path of personal and national peace, stability and prosperity, or experience the worst economic and political meltdown in the history of America. If we are prepared to strongly stand against the negative influences that often seek to gain a foothold in troubled times, we could be on our way to resetting a return to the foundations of our previous greatness and strength.

The Mayans have said that 2012 will be the end of the world. They may have been on to something in that it could be the end of the world as we know it. Scientists and historians are seeing key civilization markers pointing toward great demarcation points in history in this year. However we see it, we are going to see some major changes for the good and the bad.

But, the prepared will prosper. They always do.  Studies show that civilization-wide changes can happen through the influence of a mere one percent of a population. So, practically,  a few hundred dedicated people can radically change the culture of millions. Russia experienced it so it is not only a theory. That's why the prepared must be of the mind to take decisive action and dictate a direction that will turn a crisis into the greatest opportunity for righteous change and transformation. It will only take a few hundred totally committed people to lead the way out of the "wilderness."

Three characteristics in our personal lives and national character are desperately needed to turn a crisis into great victory. Christian love, faith, and kindness. This is not merely  optimism, but true faith in Almighty God Who is the final authority having ultimate dominion over all things. In fact He is the One who said, "...come boldly into My presence and you will receive mercy and grace to help you when you need it most."

He is the only real answer to every human problem because He is the only way. All human problems are the result of us trying to run our lives and our world without consulting Him. To experience a satisfying and fulfilling future we must become dependent upon Him.

When I speak and write as I do, I am often challenged as being an intolerant, arrogant bigot, which is in and of itself a similarly bigoted and intolerant comment. If, however, it is true that God did send His Son Jesus Christ to suffer in order to reconcile us to Him, and we declare to Him that we don't need His sacrifice, but we can take it from here, thank you very much, how arrogant is that? Perhaps we could say that would be the ultimate expression of pride. Right?I think we have run out of options for recovering what we once knew in the realm of love, faith, peace, and kindness.

This could be our year of return and restoration of our own peace and that of the American Republic. This isn't just about the election. There is a whole lot more at stake than that. The most powerful culture changers are not in the halls of our government, but "we the people" are in the Valley of Decision and must be the ones to determine our personal and national destiny.

Frankly, I don't see anyone in the political arena who has what is needed to guide America out of the mess we are in. The most qualified person isn't running for any office and never will...
