Boyfriend Arraigned in Death of Farmington Woman

William Michael Dhondt is being held without bail and faces a charge of premeditated murder.

William Michael Dhondt, 28, faces a charge of premeditated murder in the death of Kaitlin Elizabeth Hehir, 29, whose body was discovered Saturday in the Farmington home she and Dhondt shared.

According to a Farmington Public Safety Dept. press release, Dhondt was arraigned in front of Judge James Wittenberg of the 45A District Court in Berkley at 3 p.m. Tuesday. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf, and he was ordered held without bond in the Oakland County jail.

A pre-exam conference court date is scheduled March 5, 10:30 a.m., at the 45A District Court. Proceedings are being held there because Hehir was an employee of the 47th District Court in Farmington Hills, where judges knew and worked with her.

A funeral service for Hehir will be held Saturday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Rd., Plymouth at 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Friends may also visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main, Plymouth, on Friday, 3 p.m.-9 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen-Earthwork's Urban Farm, 1820 Mt. Elliott St., Detroit, MI 48207-3496, www.cskdetroit.org, or First Step of Michigan, 44567 Pinetree Dr., Plymouth, MI 48170.

I don't know what to "click" on to find the garage sales. They used to be "rightRead More there" when I opened the Patch email everyday. I am assuming they are now listed under something else and I guess I need instructions as to where to find it and what to click on to get to them. thanks

Grama, in addition to our Thursday map, you can click on the Events link at the top of the page, andRead More along the left side, you'll see "Garage Sales". Just click on that, and you'll see all the listings. They should be among the events in our newsletter, too. Hope that helps!
