Boys Banned from Zap Zone in Farmington After Video Game Incident

The following information was supplied by the Farmington Public Safety Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate a conviction.

Three boys accused of taking a video game from another boy around the same age won't be charged with a crime, but have been banned from Zap Zone in Farmington.

According to a Farmington Public Safety report, the entertainment center manager called police at 8:44 p.m. on Jan. 25, after the winner of a "Call of Duty Black Ops" video game reported the three boys had taken it. The report indicated that the boy kept the game under his foot while he was playing, and one of the three boys who approached him took the game.

After the winner and his father left, the manager spotted three boys he suspected of having taken the game, according to the report. One of the boys had the missing video game hanging out of his pocket, and when the manager ordered him to turn it over, the boy said he had traded $20 in game tokens for it, but the boy with whom he traded changed his mind.
