Business Owner Recovers Stolen Truck, Trailer in Detroit

A Saturday morning caller reports the vehicle stolen in Farmington Hills was left running in the city.

The owners of a business on Farmington Road contacted Farmington Hills Police shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday after a truck and trailer stolen from a locked yard had been found in Detroit.

According to the report, at least one person called the business Saturday morning to report the red Ford Super Duty truck and red utility trailer were parked in the area of MacKenzie and Ward in Detroit, with the truck still running. Detroit Police released the property when owners arrived to pick it up.

The report indicated that the vehicles had been parked inside a locked, fenced area, and the lock appeared to have been cut open. Although the inside of the truck was damaged, nothing was taken.
