Call to Action Coalition Honors Dedicated Sobriety Court Officer

Farmington Hills Police officer Jeffrey Miller receives the 'Commitment to the Journey' award.

Farmington Hills Police officer Jeffrey Miller received the 2013 Call To Action Coalition (CTAC) “Commitment to the Journey” award at the CTAC’s annual event in October. 

According to a City of Farmington Hills press release, Miller was recognized for his dedication and compassionate efforts in the 47th District Court’s Drug and Alcohol Sobriety Court Program. He has served as the Department Liaison to the program for more than three years. 

Miller works with probation officers, visits with the participants and family members, documents progress and program violations, and attends graduation ceremonies. In 2013, Miller conducted approximately 25 in-home visits, including one that required more than 50 attempts to meet with participant.

Having served as a cadet, patrol officer, and evidence technician, Miller has been recognized for his outstanding police work and contributions with a Merit Citation, Life Saving Award, Unit Citation, two Citations, and a Commendation.
