Catalytic Converters Taken from Vehicles in Farmington Hills

The incidents occurred between Sunday and Monday, at Farmington Hills businesses.

Two vehicle owners contacted Farmington Hills Police Monday, to report thefts of catalytic converters.

According to police, a woman who had her vehicle towed to a business on 12 Mile Sunday for a flat tire repair picked up the car on Monday and discovered the catalytic converter had been taken. The vehicle had been left outdoors and uncovered overnight.

A woman who parked her vehicle at a gym on Middlebelt late Sunday night told police Monday that she noticed the car making a strange noise as she drove home. She took it to a repair shop, where the theft was discovered.
