College Student Faces Charges After Parking at North Farmington High

An 18-year-old Waterford man faces charges after a Farmington Hills Police officer spotted the teen's vehicle parked in a lot at North Farmington High School shortly after midnight Tuesday. 

According to police, the officer noticed an "overwhelming" odor of marijuana after the driver opened his car door. The teen told the officer he attends school at Wayne State University on 12 Mile Road and had stopped in the school lot to smoke marijuana. A search of his vehicle uncovered a marijuana grinder with residue and two marijuana pipes.

The man was ticketed for having narcotics paraphernalia and loitering, police said.
