Crime Report: Man Turns in $20 Bill, Half-naked Man Charged with Disorderly Conduct

The following arrest information was supplied by the Farmington Public Safety Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 46-year-old Brighton male was exiting at 1 p.m. on June 19 when he found a $20 bill in the parking lot. When he was unable to locate the owner of the cash, he turned it into the , according a police report. The man did say that if the owner is not located, he would like the found money back, the report said.

Half-naked man charged with disorderly conduct

A 48-year-old male Farmington resident was arrested on charges of entering without permission and disorderly conduct a little before 8 p.m. on June 18, according to a police report. Farmington police were dispatched to Farmington Place Apartments by an employee who found a man in the shop area of the apartment offices wearing only a pair of shorts and trying to pull wires off the wall, the report said.

The employee knew the man, who is the son of a resident in the apartments, the report said. He found the man standing on top of his desk trying to pull telephone and cable wires that were glued to the cement block wall, the report said.

When found by the employee, the man tried to flee, but the employee forced him into a chair until the police arrived, the report said. The door to the office was locked with signs that stated the area was prohibited to anyone but staff, the report said.

The police noted that the man’s speech was slurred and that he had trouble maintaining balance while standing, the report said. The man took a Breathalyzer test, which came out to 0.000, the report said. The man did tell police that he had taken some medication that day, though he was unsure of how much, the report said.

The man was arrested on charges of entering without permission and disorderly conduct, the report said.

Farmington house vandalized

A Farmington resident who lives on Birchwood Street reported juvenile malicious mischief from June 15 at 11 p.m. to June 17 at 5 a.m., according to a police report. An officer was dispatched to the residence on June 15; upon arrival, he noticed several multi colored chalk drawings of male genitalia on the driveway, which the homeowner discovered when he awoke that morning, the report said.

The man told police he thinks the drawings were done by the same teens who egged his house on 11 p.m. on Friday night, the report said. The man caught them on Friday and chased the group on foot before they got into a white or silver pick up truck and drove away, the report said. The man has three children, including a daughter in high school, but she said she does not know who may be responsible, the report said. There was no monetary damage done to the residence, the report said.
