According to the report, the officer noticed an "overwhelming" odor of burned marijuana coming from the vehicle as he spoke with the man, who said he was waiting for his girlfriend to get off work at a nearby pizza restaurant. The report indicated that the driver told the office he had just smoked marijuana and showed the pipe he used. A search of the vehicle turned up a plastic bag containing marijuana residue, rolling papers, and a total of 10 grams of marijuana. The officer later learned the man was also employed at the restaurant and had been out on a break.
