Electronics Stolen from Vehicles in Farmington Hills

Residents report in-dash stereo and GPS systems taken from vehicles some time between Sunday night and Monday morning.

More than half a dozen Farmington Hills residents called police on Monday to report items had been stolen from their vehicles. 

Farmington Hills Police reports indicated car windows were smashed; items taken included in-dash stereo and GPS systems. Similar thefts happened in these areas between June 9 and 10:

  • 27000 block of Strawberry Lane
  • 23000 block of Middlebelt Road
  • 30000 block of Timber Ridge Circle
  • 27000 block of Gateway Drive
  • 30000 block of West 12 Mile Road
Police also responded to calls on June 9 about a trailer hitch stolen from a vehicle in the 28000 block of Greenwillow and tires taken from a vehicle in the 39000 block of Polo Club Drive. 

In a Nixle.com alert issued Monday afternoon, the department's Crime Prevention Section reminded residents to remove valuables from their cars and lock doors when cars are parked overnight. Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call 248-871-2610.
