Farmington, Farmington Hills Declare Snow Emergency

Vehicles still parked on the street 12 hours after the 1 p.m. declaration may be towed.

With heavy snow falling and a winter storm watch in effect, the City of Farmington declared a snow emergency at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The City of Farmington Hills followed suit at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Residents should immediately remove vehicles from streets. Those parked on city streets 12 hours after the emergency was declared may be subject to towing. Any vehicles constituting a hazard, vehicles that are disabled, abandoned or parked in traveled portions of roadways, may be immediately towed.

Residents may resume parking on the street after the road has been
plowed from curb to curb.
