Authorities Identify Farmington Fatal Crash Victim

Karen L. Farr died after her minivan hit a tree on Farmington Road early Saturday morning.

Farmington Public Safety on Tuesday released the name of the Livonia woman killed early Saturday morning, after her minivan crashed into a tree on Farmington Road just south of Shiawassee. 

Karen L. Farr, 52, was killed after being thrown from the vehicle, which was traveling at a high rate of speed before the accident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Road, with burial at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock. 

Farr is survived by her children April, Randi, Courtney and Kayla; her father Raeford Mayes; grandmother Lucille Cooper; step-parents Wade Buell and Peggy May; grandchildren Brooklyn, Annabella, Ava, and A.J.; siblings Sheri (Phil) Crossman, Sandy (Bob) Anderson, Crystal (Lenny) Betancourt, Jessica (Jody) Collins, Kim (Ryan) Barringer, Amanda Buell and Amy Buell, and many nieces and nephews. 

Her mother, Judy Buell, preceded her in death.
