According to a police report, Monday's incident began when a homeowner on Cora answered a knock at her door. She told police that she opened the front door just a crack, and a man wearing a short-sleeved shirt and faded black or gray pants asked for a woman who did not live in the home.

After the woman talked briefly to the man, she closed the door and got ready for work. When she later opened the door between her home and garage, she saw a second man, who was eventually arrested, standing in her garage, pointing a handgun at her head. He motioned for her to be quiet, and she quickly shut and locked the door, then ran to another room and called 911, the report indicated.
