Farmington Hills Man Arrested After Hit and Run Death Remains on Probation

A Farmington Hills man who pleaded guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident following the death of a 21-year-old woman in 2011 remains on probation.

Tiffanie Goetz was killed at approximately 10 p.m. on Dec. 14, when she entered the roadway after leaving her home in the area of 13 Mile and Halsted Roads. As she was standing in the road, a vehicle traveling east on 13 Mile Road struck her. Police reported that witnesses saw the vehicle briefly pull to the side of the road and continue east on 13 Mile Road.

According to information published at oakgov.com, Michael Kramer, who was 52 at the time of his arrest, entered a plea of no contest and was sentenced by Sixth Circuit Court Judge Rae Lee Chabot on Feb. 28, 2012 to 30 days in jail, with credit for one day served, and 60 months of probation.

Kramer was required to pay more than $2,700 in court costs and fees, and ordered to abstain from alcohol and drugs throughout his probation, and to undergo substance abuse treatment.
