Farmington Hills Police Investigate Break-ins, Attempts on Ontaga

One resident reports the theft of a set of golf clubs.

Farmington Hills Police officers investigating the report of an attempted shed break-in on Ontaga Avenue in Farmington Hills Monday evening discovered similar incidents at two neighboring homes.

According to police, a homeowner in the 21000 block returned from work at 4:45 p.m. and found the gate to the backyard fence open, even though he knew he had closed it that morning. The man checked his storage shed and found someone had tampered with the door.

Officers found two other homes at which the backyard gates had been left open. One homeowner reported the theft of a set of golf clubs from his shed, police said.
