Farmington Hills Police Investigate Thefts from Cars

Police warn residents to lock up their vehicles and remove valuables from sight.

The Farmington Hills Police Department issued a Nixle.com alert Wednesday afternoon, warning residents about thefts from vehicles in several neighborhoods:

  • North Brandon & West Brandon
  • Arden Park Drive & Branchaster
  • multiple incidents at Crosswinds Condominiums

According to the alert, many of the vehicles were left unlocked, and personal items in plain view were stolen. Vehicle owners who discover a break-in should not touch anything inside and immediately call police.

"The Farmington Hills Police Crime Prevention Section reminds all residents to remove all valuables from your cars. If you can’t, don’t leave valuables in plain view. Lock your car doors and park in well-lit areas when possible," the alert reads.

Anyone with information about the break-ins should call Farmington Hills Police, 248-871-2610.
