Farmington Hills Police Say 'Strong Evidence' Shows Missing Woman is Alive

Carmen Patricia Miranda-Portelli, 29, disappeared from her home on August 1.

Farmington Hills Police haven't released details, but say they have "strong evidence" that Carmen Patricia Miranda-Portelli, 29, who was reported missing Aug. 1, is alive and unharmed.

“The Farmington Hills Police Department does not suspect foul play, but we remain committed to a full and thorough investigation until detectives personally meet with Ms. Miranda-Portelli and verify her welfare," Police Chief Chuck Nebus said.

On Aug. 1, Police Cmdr. Matt Koehn said Miranda-Portelli's husband reported that his wife left their home at 6 p.m. Tuesday. "When he returned at midnight, she was not there, and he has had no contact since," Koehn said.
