Farmington Investigators Looking for High School Band Room Vandals

Anyone who has information about the Nov. 3 incident at Farmington High is asked to contact police.

Farmington Public Safety investigators remain confident they will identify the vandals who trashed the Farmington High School band room and student lockers Nov. 3.

Students and parents discovered the mess and damage upon their return from the Michigan Competing Band Association (MCBA) state finals at Ford Field in Detroit. According to FPS Commander Frank Demers, several cell phones and an iPod were ruined, some money was taken and "they just messed up the place."

He said the case has been assigned to school liaison officer Christine Schutz, who is working closely with Farmington High school officials, as well as those from other schools, to identify suspects. Demers said the case is generating discussion among students, and he believes someone will come forward with information.
