Farmington Public Safety, Farmington Hills Police Investigate Break-Ins

Authorities report items taken from a home on Mission Ct. in Farmington and from cars in the 13 Mile and Halsted area.

Both Farmington Public Safety and Farmington Hills Police departments have issued Nixle.com alerts about crimes that occurred over the past 24 hours. 

In Farmington, a resident in the 36000 block of Mission Ct., north of Freedom Rd., west of Drake Rd., came home at around 1:30 p.m. on Monday to find the home's front door standing open. The resident called police after discovering that two computers and jewelry were missing from the home, which was entered by forcing the walk-out basement doors. 

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Shane Wash at 248-474-5500, ext. 2246.

Farmington Hills Police this morning received several reports of overnight car break-ins in neighborhoods north of 13 Mile, west of Halsted. According to the Nixle.com report, windows were apparently smashed on vehicles that had valuables left in plain view.

"The Farmington Hills Police Crime Prevention Section reminds all residents to remove all valuables from their cars and lock car doors when parked overnight," the report read.
