Find Farmington Public Safety on Facebook

The new social media presence is one of several ways the department keeps residents informed.

There's a new kid on the Facebook block.

Since late January, the Farmington Public Safety Department's new Facebook page has connected with more than 120 people. Commander Frank Demers said it's "just another way we can get information out to residents."

Posts have included a downloadable home safety checklist, links to sites providing crime prevention information and lots of photos. One photo album, called "Blast form the Past", gives Facebook fans a look back through the department's history.
