Guitars, Electronics, Jewelry Taken in Farmington Hills Break-Ins

Jewelry and cash were taken from one of the homes in a 2012 incident.

Farmington Hills Police are investigating break-ins at three homes between Thursday and Friday of last week. 

According to reports, a resident in the 24000 block of Lincoln Court called police at around 12:45 p.m. Thursday, after he found the rear sliding door to the home open and items missing. The door had been left open; video games, controllers and consoles, two watches, two bottles of cologne, a knife and two guitars were taken. 

Police responding to an alarm at a home in the 29000 block of Sugar Spring Road on Friday afternoon found the front door open and the bedroom in disarray. The report indicated that the homeowner told police there was nothing of value in the home. Expensive jewelry and cash were taken from the bedroom during a 2012 break-in, the report noted. 

A resident in the 29000 block of Greening left home at 5 p.m. Friday and returned at 6:15 p.m. to find more than $8,000 in jewelry, including bracelets, rings and a necklace missing. The report indicated that the resident realized something was wrong when she saw her dog outside, because she left the dog inside. Police found the front and rear doors of the home unlocked.
