Hills Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspect

Authorities release a photo of the suspect, who took an undetermined amount of cash from Walgreens.

released a photo today of a suspect who reportedly robbed the store on Grand River Sunday night.

The crime took just a few minutes to commit, according to the police report. Employees told police they were preparing to close the store at around 11:30 p.m. when a man—described as 5 feet 9 inches, 200 pounds and wearing a black hooded jacket, teal cloth mask and gloves, black pants and black shoes—entered the store and brandished a gun.

The man left the store with an undetermined amount of cash, placed in a red backpack with yellow straps that was decorated with a children's cartoon. In the initial report, the store manager estimated $4,500 was taken. A K-9 team from the Redford Police Department was brought in but did not locate the suspect.
