K2 Use Cited in Farmington Hills Assault Report

The following arrest information was supplied by the Farmington Public Safety Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 24-year-old Farmington Hills man faces charges after an assault on his brother Saturday.

According to the report, police who responded to a home on 13 Mile Road at around 9:20 p.m. were told that the man has a history of K2 use.

The suspect's 22-year-old brother told police he was assaulted when he tried to stop his brother, who was "going crazy" smashing car windows with a fireplace poker.

The report indicated that the younger brother had difficulty breathing and a headache, and had lacerations on his arm. He was taken to Botsford Hospital and released early Sunday morning. The brothers' father told police that the older brother has a history of using the synthetic drug and was recently laid off from his job.

Police found windows broken on all four family vehicles parked in the driveway; damages were estimated at $1,000 per vehicle, according to the report.

My prayers go out to the family of this young man. May he turn his life around so his whole family can heal.

I drove by this home today and wondered that the heck had happened. (Saw all the car windows broken). I wish the family peace.
