Kids Tell Farmington Hills Police Teens Shot Them with BB Gun
The following information was supplied by the Farmington Hills Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate a conviction.
Three children suffered minor injuries Monday, after someone fired at them with a BB or pellet gun while they were walking in the area of Barfield and Fink in Farmington Hills.
According to the Farmington Hills Police report, a 10-year-old girl told police that she was walking on Fink with a group of friends when a minivan stopped and a man shot a BB gun at the group several times. She and two boys, ages 11 and 12, had red marks on their skin as a result of the shooting.
The report indicated that police located the driver, who told them a friend riding with him asked him to stop the vehicle, because the friend knew one of the children in the group and "wanted to mess with him". Two Airsoft guns were confiscated from the driver's home; when questioned by police, the passenger denied shooting at the children.
