Men Face Charges After Police Find Mushrooms, Marijuana

The following information was provided by Farmington Hills Police. Arrests and charges do not indicate a conviction.

Three men face charges after Farmington Hills Police officers found marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms during their search of a vehicle stopped around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, at I-696 and Orchard Lake Road. 

According to the report, police stopped the vehicle after the driver changed lanes twice without signaling. The driver and passengers, from Trenton, East Lansing and Grand Rapids, told police they were traveling from East Lansing to a concert in Auburn Hills, which started at 7 p.m. 

Police noticed an odor of marijuana and spotted a small bag of the drug, as well as a glass jar containing psilocybin mushrooms. The men also turned over a piece of chocolate that contained psilocybin mushrooms.
