Michigan Judge John McBain responded to eyerolls and snickers by convicted killer Camia Gamet – who the judge previously had said committed one of the worst cold-blooded murders he’s ever seen – with some stern words during her sentencing Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court.

“You're going to shut your mouth or I'm going to have some duct tape put on it. You were relentless. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed until he was dead," McBain said, according to a report on WJBK, Channel 2.

"I hope you die in prison,” he said. “If this was a death penalty state, you'd be getting the chair."

Instead, McBain sentenced Gamet, 31, to life in prison.

She was convicted of first-degree murder in a March jury trial. Gamet’s behavior during a victim impact statement by family members of Marcel Hill, who Gamet stabbed two years ago, prompted the judge’s harsh words.

TELL US: Did the judge go too far? The state’s death penalty was abolished in 1846, shortly after Michigan achieved statehood in 1837. Do you think it should be reinstated?

This is a travesty! Life in prison is too good for this animal. She'll be out in 20 yrs. or less trying to murder one of our sons. The judge's chastising comment was right on point. This is one of those cases where the family really should be judge, jury, & executioner.

I am all for death penalty. Let's do what is necessary to bring it back.

To criticize the judge in these circumstances is beyond absurd. Sadly, our criminal justice system reeks of sexism. Even if Michigan had the death penalty, it is extremely unlikely that it would be imposed, much less carried out, against a female murderer. Since the death penalty was reinstated by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1976, men have accounted for more than 1,400 of those executed, compared to only 14 women, a ratio of more than 100:1. Anyway, this woman, this piece of scum, should rot and die in prison...before she rots in hell.

This woman is trash, and her actions desreve more than just his rage. It is too bad she can't be executed, because it is obvious she has no value in this or any other world.

What is the reason she killed her boyfriend? I'm sure she didn't kill him for no reason at all? Did he abuse her? Beat her? Cheat on her? I'm sure dating someone that looks like her, he must have a criminal background? I am sure he was no road scholar himself! Either one of them is no loss to society! We have 2 less ghetto junkies on our streets!
