No Alcohol, Drugs in Fatal Farmington Road Accident

A 52-year-old Livonia who died in a July 27 accident on Farmington Road had no drugs or alcohol in her system at the time of the crash, Farmington Public Safety Director Bob Schulz said Friday.

Karen Farr was killed after her minivan hit a tree just south of Shiawassee at around 1:30 a.m. Farr was thrown from the vehicle, which witnesses said had been traveling north at a high rate of speed and ran a red light at Grand River and Farmington Road.

Farr was alone in the vehicle, no one else was injured.

The crash left the vehicle split in two and debris scattered up and down the road. The tree the minivan hit has been removed from the boulevard.
