Pedestrian A Victim of Fatal Crash: Police Investigating

A westbound motorist on Eight Mile allegedly struck and killed pedestrian Monday night.

Farmington Hills Police are investigating the death of a man who was struck near the intersection of Eight Mile and Inkster Road, The Detroit News reports.

The pedestrian was taken to Botsford Hospital, where he later died of his injuries. Authorities said the pedestrian is a 62-year-old Livonia man, but his name has not been released

The driver, 18, remained on the scene and has been cooperating with police. The driver’s name has not been released.
