Pinckney Seniors Face Charges After Police Find Crack Cocaine

The following information was provided by Farmington Hills Police. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

A 70-year-old Pinckney woman and her 64-year-old husband face charges after Farmington Hills Police found crack cocaine in their vehicle during a Friday afternoon traffic stop on M-5/Grand River.

According to police, officers stopped the vehicle because it had a broken brake light and cracked windshield, as well as items hanging from the rear view mirror. While talking with the woman, an officer became suspicious when he noticed a prescription bottle containing clear liquid.

A search of the woman turned up a metal crack pipe loaded with crack cocaine, police said, and small plastic bags containing crack cocaine and drug residue were found inside the vehicle.

Because their son did not have a valid driver's license, the couple's vehicle was impounded. In addition to the drug charges, the woman was ticketed for the inoperable brake light and vision obstruction.
