A 29-year-old Redford Township woman faces narcotics charges following a hit and run accident at Grand River and Eight Mile Roads in Farmington Hills Monday.

According to the Farmington Hills police report, a witness saw the woman's vehicle drive onto the median and strike several road signs, before pulling into the Botsford Hospital entrance. Detectives found the vehicle and driver in the parking lot at West River shopping center. The report indicated that the vehicle was leaking fluid and had damage to the windshield and right front side.

In searching the driver and vehicle, police found two folds of heroin, a glass pipe and a dozen tablets of Diazepam, a synthetic narcotic. The driver, who initially gave police a false name, was taken to Botsford Hospital for a blood test to determine whether she was impaired while driving, the report indicated.
