See Where Farmington Hills Break-Ins Happened Over the Past Week

Items taken include jewelry and electronics.

Farmington Hills Police responded to break-ins at several homes over the past week: 

  • A resident in the 32000 block of Hearthstone Rd. may have interrupted thieves who took jewelry from the home, police said. The man left home on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. and returned around 12:30 a.m. to find a television set and a floor safe out of place. A rear entry door was forced open. 
  • Although no items were taken, a resident in the 32000 block of Olde Franklin Drive called police after noticing a side garage door open and glass broken when he returned home shortly after midnight on Nov. 9. Police said it appeared someone had tried to remove screens from windows as well. 
  • A resident in the 30000 block of Crest Forest Drive called police after returning home shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 to find the front door kicked open. Police said the door jamb, door lock and deadbolt lock were broken. Items taken include a laptop, iPod, chargers and a work bag were taken. 
  • Video games, two video game consoles, a radio and speakers were taken from a home in the 38000 block of Equestrian, sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Nov. 7. Police said entry to the home was made through a patio door, which had a broken lock.
