In Farmington Hills, Police Chief Chuck Nebus said he checked with the dispatch center this morning and found only a few accidents, none major, and no power outages. He said the department put a couple of SUVs on the road, because of their four-wheel drive capabilities.

"The bigger the snow, the less problems we have," Nebus said, adding the school closings and the Presidents Day federal holiday helped out as well.
