Items taken included a phone charger, jewelry and cigarettes.

Farmington Hills Police are investigating thefts from two vehicles that were parked at the Farmington Family YMCA on Nov. 7.

According to police, a man parked his vehicle, leaving it unlocked, at around 2 p.m. When he walked past it a short time later, he noticed the gas cap was open and discovered that an iPhone charger and his wallet were missing from the center console.

A woman who parked in the south lot at 9 a.m. returned at 3 p.m. to find a necklace, USB cord and cigarettes had been stolen from inside her vehicle, police said.
