Tuesday House Fire on Rensselaer Causes No Injuries, but 'Significant Damage'

The damaged home was undergoing renovations.

A home in the 20000 block of Rensselaer suffered "significant damage" as the result of a Tuesday night fire.

According to Lt. Larry Gauthier of the Farmington Hills Fire Dept., stations 3 and 5 responded at 8:14 p.m. to a call from the homeowner about light smoke coming from the house. Firefighters knocked down the fire with an interior attack, and the fire did not cause any significant damage outside the home.

No one was injured, and the incident remains under investigation. The home was undergoing renovations, Gauthier said.
