Three Vehicles Stolen in Farmington Hills Friday

Two had been left unlocked and running for a short time before they were taken.

Friday was a busy day for car thieves in Farmington Hills.

Police responded to three calls that day from residents whose vehicles were taken:

  • A white, 4-door, 2008 Ford Fusion from the 27000 block of Kingsgate Way. The owner left his vehicle unlocked while it warmed up at 7:35 a.m. When he returned at 7:40 a.m., it was gone.
  • A gray, 4-door, 2011 Buick Regal was taken just before 8 a.m., after the owner left it running and went inside her home in the 27000 block of Echo Valley to retrieve a diaper bag. The vehicle contained more than $2,500 in Christmas gifts.
  • A black, 1999 Ford F350 truck owned by a Botsford Hospital employee was taken from the employee parking lot sometime between 6:50 a.m. and 7:50 p.m. Security video showed the vehicle leaving the lot, but was not clear enough to identify the driver. The owner said he locked the truck, which had a $400 hard bed cover.
