West Bloomfield Teacher Faces New Criminal Sex Conduct Charge
Farmington Hills resident Stephen Larkin's Oakland County Circuit Court arraignment is scheduled Oct. 14. He remains free on bond.
Based on testimony from his former student, a West Bloomfield High teacher faces a new charge of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The Oakland Press reports that 30-year-old Stephen Larkin, a Farmington Hills resident, will stand trial on four counts in connection with allegations of improper contact with the student. Larkin's preliminary exam was held Tuesday in 48th District Court.
The newspaper story details testimony from the 17-year-old student, who was a sophomore at the time and now attends a different school. On the witness stand, she described the encounter that occurred in a classroom "on May 30 when she stayed after school for help on an upcoming test."
Larkin is on leave from the school and remains free on $10,000 bond. According to records posted at oakgov.com, he is scheduled to be arraigned in Oakland County Circuit Court on Oct. 14.
