City Honors Long-Time Farmington Area Organizations

The Farmington AAUW, Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home and the Universalist Unitarian Church all have deep roots in the community.

The City of Farmington Hills Economic Development Corporation (EDC) will on Feb. 25 honor the American Association of University Women (AAUW) – Farmington Branch, the Universalist Unitarian Church, and Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, for their contributions to the community.

The EDC was formed in 1979 to encourage the establishment of new businesses that benefit the Farmington Hills area. EDC Board members represent leaders from both city government and the local business community.

“We are pleased to recognize these long-term successful organizations,” said EDC Chair John Anhut. “This program is a tribute to those who have made outstanding contributions to our growth and prosperity for many years.”
